Monday- 630am, 6pm

Thursday- 630am, 6pm

About our beginner's class

Our beginners olympic  weightlifting programme provides the perfect foundation for building strength and muscle mass, working to achieve performance based goals. 

Learn the fundamentals for the snatch & clean & jerk in our 1 hour classes, benefitting from hands-on coaching. It’s 100% beginner friendly, no experience needed

Meet the coaches!

George

George

With over a decade of experience in coaching weightlifting, George oversees the training at Kingdom Barbell, primarily focused on developing the weightlifting team and training coaches.

 

George is especially proud of the results the beginner's programme has achieved so far, introducing new people to the sport we love and helping them to become capable and confident lifters. 

Alex

Alex is an experienced weightlifting and strength coach, focusing on a technique first approach to her coaching to get the most out of your workout. Building strong foundations through joint and mobility work, Alex will work with you to build not just a stronger body, but confidence in a gym environment. With a relaxed approach to coaching and a no pressure environment, you can find the fun in strength training right from the start.

Skye

Coach Skye

I’m a qualified British Weightlifting Level 2 coach, currently studying to become a Sports Rehab Therapist. Ive grown up with a strong sporting background and I’ve always had a passion for sport, training and helping others develop their skills.

I strive to develop confidence and good movement skills in a fun, safe and supportive environment. I’m passionate about helping young athletes develop a positive relationship with training while giving them the foundations to enjoy sport and stay active.

Harriet

Harriet has a passion for helping women build confidence through movement. With a background in gymnastics, she now incorporates weightlifting and strength training into both her own training and her coaching, focussing on strong foundations and sustainable progress.

Her coaching style is supportive, with a focus on long-term progress. All whilst keeping training enjoyable, so you stay consistent, keep coming back, and continue building strength with confidence.

Claire

Claire is passionate about the impact of exercise on general health and well-being. Her physiotherapy background enables her to support people to work round aches, pains and injuries, build confidence in the gym and improve health, fitness and performance.
